Claud, 72, prominent farmer of the Drewryville community, died at 10 o'clock Friday night, February 1, at his home. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Susie Claud, and a son, Joe Jim Claud, both of Drewryville; two brothers, T.P. Claud of Drewryville and C.C. Claud of Marion, S.C.; and two sisters, Mrs. J.V. Boykin of Emporia and Mrs. H.V. White of Holland. Graveside services were held in the Drewryville Cemetery at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with Rev. H.B. Jennings officiating, assisted by Rev. J.T. Cassell. Active pallbearers were Corbell Claud, Manfred Claud, Cedric Claud, Leslie Claud, Claud Boykin, R.D. Claud, John T. Claud, Reginal Burgess and J.C. Westbrook. The casket was covered by a pall of calla lilies, pink and white carnations, and white snapdragons.
