Mr. Claud was in his 75th year. The deceased has been in declining health for several years, but not until six weeks ago was he confined to his bed. Mr. Claud was a man of many friends, and the funeral services were attended by a large number of his relatives and life-long associates. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Lucy Person, and seven children, namely: T.P., J.W. and Joe Claud of Drewryville, C.C. Claud of Wallace, N.C., F.L. Claud of Marion, S.C., Mrs. Hugh White of Holland, and Mrs. J.U. Boykins of Emporia. The body was buried in the family plot near his home. The services were conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. C.H. Williams of Boykins. The body bearers were the deceased’s grandsons, Corbell, Manfred and John T. Claud, Clarence and Claud Boykins and Joe Claud.
