MARY LUCY MOSELEY GARLICK CLAUD 

   COURTLAND - A funeral service for Mrs. Lucy Moseley Claud, 84, will be held 
at 11 a.m. today (Dec. 30) in Capron Cemetery by the Rev. Eric Alexie.  Wright 
Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge.

   Mrs. Claud died Tuesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   A native of Bedford County, she was the widow of John Hampton Garlick and 
Joseph Gillette Claud Sr.  She was a Presbyterian.

   Survivors include a daughter, Inez Garlick Bryant of Courtland; a 
stepdaughter, Eula C. Connelly of Hopewell; six sisters, Miss Katherine M. 
Watson of Goode, Va., Mrs. Margaret M. Gross, of Bedford, Mrs. Ruth M. Rose 
of Salem, Mrs. Ann M. Pagano of Harrisonburg, Pa., Mrs. Francis M. Norris of 
Roanoke; three grandchildren, Christine B. Hilliard of Hueytown, Ala., Connie 
B. Thompson of Chesterfield and Clint Bryant of Franklin; and a great-
grandson, Adam Bryant of Franklin.

   The family suggests memorial donations to the resident activity fund of 
East Pavilion at Southampton Memorial Hospital or a charity of choice.
