JAMES HURLEY CLARK

   ZUNI - James Hurley Clark, 79, farmer and superintendent of Tucker Swamp 
Baptist Church Sunday School 25 years, died in his home near here Tuesday 
morning.

   He also was a deacon of the church and taught the adult men's class in its 
Sunday school.

   An Isle of Wight County native, he was a son of George Albert and Mrs. 
Elizabeth Bradshaw Clark.

   Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Susie Bowden Clark; a son, Wilbur Lee 
Clark of Norfolk; and a brother, George Frank Clark of Zuni.

   A funeral services will be conducted in Tucker Swamp Church (today) 
Thursday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. J.W. Horne, pastor, and the Rev. J.W. Horne, 
pastor, and the Rev. Gerald Voye of Bethany Presbyterian Church.  Burial will 
be in Tucker Swamp Church Cemetery.

  James Hurley Clark, 79, farmer and superintendent of Tucker Swamp Baptist

morning. 

  He was also a deacon of the church and taught the adult men's class in its 
Sunday School.  An Isle of Wight native, he was a son of George Albert and 
Mrs. Elizabeth Bradshaw Clark. 

  Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Susie Bowden Clark; a son, Wilbur Lee Clark 
of Norfolk, and a brother, George Frank Clark, of Zuni. 

  A funeral service was held in Tucker Swamp Church on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. 
by the Rev. J.W. Horne, pastor, and the Rev. Gerald Voye of Bethany 
Presbyterian Church.  Burial was in the Tucker Swamp Church cemetery. 

  Pallbearers were William Rhodes, Harold West, Forrest Cobb, Phillip Worrell, 
L.E. Eley, Roger Britt, Ben Munford and Talmage Edwards.
