MARIA* SUSIE WORRELL CLARK

   IVOR - A funeral service for Mrs. Maria Worrell Clark was conducted Sunday 
at 3 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. Grover C. Holder 
and the Rev. J.W. Horne.  Burial was in Ivor Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Talmadge Edwards, Roy Conwell, Roger Britt, Willie Brown, 
Junius Wade, J.R. Bowden, Herman Bowden and James Joyner.

   Mrs. Clark, 76, died Thursday in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness. 
She was the widow of George Frank Clark.

   A lifelong resident of Southampton County, she was a daughter of Robert J. 
and Mrs. Pocahontas Richardson Worrell.  She was a member of Tucker Swamp 
Baptist Church.

   Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Adeline C. McCoy of Newport News; five sons, 
Curtis N. Clark of Richmond, F. Raby Clark of Zuni, Eldridge M. Clark of 
Norfolk, and W. Richardson Clark and Wilson W. Clark of Newport News; a 
sister, Mrs. J. Henry Felts of Ivor, three brothers, Cliff J. Worrell of 
Norfolk, Phillip E. Worrell of Zuni, and Bennie Worrell of Ivor; seven 
grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
