OLIVIA MUNFORD CLARK

   SEDLEY - Mrs. Olivia Munford Clark, 59, died in a Franklin hospital early 
Sunday after long illness.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was a daughter of Mrs. Ettie Grant 
Munford and the late John Irving Munford.

   Surviving besides her mother, are her husband, William Rossie Clark; five 
daughters, Mrs. Mittie B. Johnson and Mrs. Ethel M. Penfield of Miami, Fla., 
Mrs. Marion Johnson of Richmond, Mrs. Eleanor Loftis of Columbia, S.C. and 
Mrs. Bessie Bradshaw of Waverly; three sons, W.R. Clark, Jr. of Ivor, Aaron L. 
Clark of Waverly and A. Earl Clark of Miami; a brother, G.L. (Jack) Munford of 
Smithfield; five sisters, Mrs. Catherine C. Gray and Mrs. Frances Benton of 
Suffolk, Mrs. Aralease Cowling of Wakefield, Mrs. Cora Luter of Ivor and Mrs. 
Evelyn Johnson of Bayside; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchildren and 
nieces and nephews.

   A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Purviance Funeral 
Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. J.L. McTeer of Millfield Baptist Church with 
burial in Ivor Cemetery.

Her parents- John Irvin Munford Jr. of Isle of Wight (1871-1950) and Ettie 
Grant of Surry (1880-1963) m. Dec 1899, Surry Co. 

Olive appears, age 19, with her family in the 1920 Census (Surry 108-3-57). 

Her parents' family was in Sussex Co. in the 1930 Census (e.d. 8, sheet 212). 

These sources contradict the obit's characterization of her as a 
"native of Isle of Wight County."
