A native of Sussex County, he was a son of William E. and Mrs. Virginia Clark. He was a member of Barretts Christian Church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. John Bradshaw of Waverly, Mrs. James F. Loftis of Amelia, and Mrs. Howard Johnson, Mrs. Marion E. Johnson and Mrs. Al Penfield of Miami; three sons, W.R. Clark, Jr. of Ivor, Aaron L. Clark of Waverly, and Albert Earl Clark of Miami; a sister, Mrs. Maude C. Kitchen of Ivor; a brother, John Clark of Jacksonville, Fla., 26 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. T.L. McTeer. Burial was in Ivor Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hartwell Barrett, J.R. Simms, Jr., Elmo Pittman, Rabie Cornwell, Al Barrett, J.N. Barker, Tommy Pittman and A.J. Bulls.
