The widow of Alfred E. Cohen, she was a daughter of Jonas R. and Annie Britt Bryant, a native of Southampton County and a member of Boykins Baptist Church and Southampton Chapter 68, Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are a son, W. Bernard Person of Boykins; four sisters, Mrs. J.H. Keen of Newport News, Mrs. Doris Goff of Charlotte, N.C., Mrs. O.W. Gray of Boykins and Mrs. Thomas Fenton of Texas; a brother R.S. Bryant of Boykins; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held in H.M. Purviance Funeral Home Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Ben B. Ussery of Boykins Baptist Church and the Rev. H.G. Thach of Boykins Methodist Church. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dr. Charles W. Steel, C.B. Hogan, Ryland Fowler, David Sykes, L. Milton Draper, Jack Britt and Alex Bell. Virginia Alice (BRYANT PERSON DARDEN; Mrs. Alfred E.)
