Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. William E. Hawkins for Alford Cicero Campbell, 40 of Rt. 1 Box 298, Franklin. Pallbearers were L.A. Everett, Noah Cole, Herman Lassiter, Charles Carsen, Seth Howell, Joe Bryant, and Bill Bryant. A native of South Carolina, he was the son of Barney Cicero Campbell of Wilmington, N.C. and Mrs. Margaret Murray Morrison of Florida. He was a logger. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Linda C. Clark of Portsmouth, Va., Mrs. Billie Ann Edwards, Franklin; two sons, Wesley Earl Campbell and Tony Wilson Campbell of Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Best, Franklin; Mrs. Bruce White, Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Joe Holland, San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Elwood C. Campbell, and Carlisly Campbell, of Wilmington, N.C.; Bobby Joe Campbell, of Franklin, and one granddaughter. Alford Cicero Wesley "Billy" CAMPBELL, logger, SC native, d. 12 Nov 1972, Franklin*, age 40, interred in Southampton Memorial Park (Christus II, Plot 42**), 15 Nov 1972, "The Tidewater News" (Franklin, VA), Nov. 20, 1972, Sect. B, p. 2 **We previously had him listed as "Alfred." His brother Bobby Joe is buried in Devotion I, Plot 148.
