ALFORD CICERO CAMPBELL

   A funeral service was held in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, 
Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. William E. Hawkins for Alford Cicero 
Campbell, 40 of Rt. 1 Box 298, Franklin.

   Pallbearers were L.A. Everett, Noah Cole, Herman Lassiter, Charles Carsen, 
Seth Howell, Joe Bryant, and Bill Bryant.

   A native of South Carolina, he was the son of Barney Cicero Campbell of 
Wilmington, N.C. and Mrs. Margaret Murray Morrison of Florida.

   He was a logger.

   Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Linda C. Clark of Portsmouth, Va., Mrs. 
Billie Ann Edwards, Franklin; two sons, Wesley Earl Campbell and Tony Wilson 
Campbell of Franklin; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Best, Franklin; Mrs. Bruce 
White, Tampa, Fla., Mrs. Joe Holland, San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, 
Elwood C. Campbell, and Carlisly Campbell, of Wilmington, N.C.; Bobby Joe 
Campbell, of Franklin, and one granddaughter.

**We previously had him listed as "Alfred." 
   His brother Bobby Joe is buried in Devotion I, Plot 148.

*He was Dead On Arrival at Southampton Memorial Hospital, of an Acute Coronary 
   Occlusion, according to his Va. Death Certificate (#72-033448), which also 
   gives "Alford."  His daughter Linda was the informant.
