Biddy Council, 70, died Wednesday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk, after an illness of three months. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs Edith Horne Council and a son of Samuel D. and Mrs. Sallie Judson Council.* He was a retired merchant. He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and Blackwater Masonic Lodge 134. Besides his widow, surviving are three sons, Wayland H. Council, Benjamin Alton Council, Jr. and Emerson W. Council, and a daughter, Mrs. Warren R. Cobb, all of Ivor; three sisters, Mrs. Louise C. Atkinson of Newport News, Mrs. Mable C. Wellons, and Mrs. Edgar Felts of Ivor; a brother, Judson Council and Lynchburg; and seven grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday at 2:30 pm in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. Brian L. Tiffany. Burial with Masonic rites, will be in Tucker Swamp Church cemetery. The family will be at the Wayland H. "Biddy" Council, 70, of Ivor was held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. Brian L. Tiffany. Burial, with Masonic rites, was in Tucker Swamp Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fenton Worrell, Aubrey Worrell, Leslie C. Felts, Joe Hobbs, Clifton Britt, J.R. Bowden, James Atkinson and Emmett Barrett.
