ISADORE ROBIE COUNCIL

   A funeral service for Isadore R. Council was conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. 
in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Chapel by the Rev. C.L. Gatling and the Rev. 
J.R. Robert.  Burial was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suffolk.

   Pallbearers were Acadamus Stephenson, Robert Lowe, Ocie Beale, Johnny 
Sanders, Alvis Brock and Miles Carr.

   Councill, 69, died Friday morning in a Richmond hospital after a brief 
illness.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Kenny* and Mrs. Sallie 
Johnson Councill.

   Surviving are two nephews, Garland Beale and W.L. Johnson of Franklin.

*Unmarked?  added to his mother's plot; Isadore was listed as the owner.

"Kenny" may have been a nickname, but his father's name was George M. COUNCIL. 
   Sallie's D.Cert. gives wife of Kenneth Council.  The 1880 Census (Jerusalem 
   Dist, Southampton Co.) gives Geo. B.Mc. Council, age 9.
