JOSHUA THOMAS COUNCILL

   Funeral services for Joshua Thomas Councill, son of the late Benjamin and 
Susie Gardner Councill and husband of Mrs. Geneva De Prior Councill, were 
conducted from the Sedley Baptist Church in the presence of a large crowd of 
relatives and friends Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.  Rev. John Isom of 
Courtland, assisted by Dr. Elwood W. Jones of Franklin, conducted the service. 
The choir of the church sang the hymns, "In The Sweet Bye and Bye" and "When 
The Roll Is Called Up Yonder."

   The casket was covered with sprays of white lilies and roses and there were 
many other lovely flowers.

   The pallbearers were J.M. Johnson, K.G. Howell, T.F. Hundley, R.L. Johnson, 
D.L. Tillery, Julian, Hubert and Cecil Tillery.  Interment was made in Rosemont 
Cemetery.
