SAMUEL D. COUNCILL

   Samuel D. Councill died at his home in Ivor Monday, January 7, in his 61st 
year.  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sally Judson Councill; three sons, 
B.A., S.E. and J.D. Councill of Ivor; three daughters; Mrs. E.M. Felts and 
Mrs. J.A. Atkins of Ivor and Mrs. A.M. Wellons of Wakefield; two sisters, Mrs. 
Allie Councill of Bacon’s Castle and Mrs. C.H. Johnson of Zuni.

   Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon conducted by Rev. N.F. Jacobs, 
assisted by Rev. C.E. Gerringer, interment being made in the family burying 
ground.

   The pallbearers were J.T. Faircloth, F.T. Joyner, B.H. Lane, L.C. Pulley, 
Grover Harrison, J.S. Luter and P.H. Brantley.
