THOMAS ALBERGES COUNCILL

   FRANKLIN - Thomas Alberges Councill, 75, retired farmer of the Franklin 
community and Isle of Wight County, died in his home early Thursday.

   He was the husband of Mrs. Harlie Corbin Councill and a son of George 
Thomas and Mrs. Nellie Rodman Councill of Isle of Wight County.  He was a 
member of Franklin Baptist Church.

   Surviving, besides his widow, are a brother, Benjamin W. Councill of 
Holland; and a sister, Mrs. Nellie R. Councill of Franklin.

   A funeral service was held in Poplar Spring Cemetery Friday at 11 a.m. by 
the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins, pastor of Franklin Baptist Church.
