Son of Benjamin and Annie Liverman Canady, he was a native of Bath, N.C., and had resided here 40 years. He was a member of Bath Methodist Church, a veteran of World War I and a past commander of American Legion Post 73. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marjorie Parker Canady; a son, Capt. Thomas Howard Canady Jr. of Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma City, Okla., and a granddaughter, Kelsey Lee Canady of Oklahoma City. A funeral service was held today (Monday) at 4 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church with burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Elmer Bradshaw, Jr., J.P. Lankford, James C. Beale, Jr., Roy Edwards, Willie Weede, Kenneth Duffy, W.J. Cross and W.H. Rash.
