All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JOHN THOMAS CUNNINGHAM John Thomas Cunningham, 62, a farmer and carpenter of Como, N.C., died at his home near Como on Saturday afternoon, December 10, after a long illness. The deceased was the husband of Mrs. Nora Whitley Cunningham of Como and son of the late Jim Thomas and Irene Worrell Cunningham, formerly of Camden, N.J. He was a former employee of Powell & Holland, Franklin contractors, and was a veteran of World War I. Besides his wife he is survived by a brother, Willie C. Cunningham of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Woodard Drake of Suffolk; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral rites for Mr. Cunningham were conducted Monday afternoon at New Hope Methodist Church by Rev. R.B. Moore. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin.
