Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Matthew Turner, Milton J. Dilday, John E. Beale, Jr., J. Willard Beale, Jr., James A. Harvey and Joe Wheiss. Mrs. Carr, 65, died Tuesday night in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of John Gladstone Carr and a daughter of John Levi and Mrs. Josephine Stevens Turner. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Marie Gray and Mrs. Doris Beale of Franklin; three sons, Roy McClinton Carr of Franklin, Bobby Ray Carr of Boykins, and John G. Carr, Jr. of Moore, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. Odel Turner of Suffolk; and seven grandchildren. Alma (TURNER; Mrs. John G.)
