Carr Crawley Cecil Carr, 72, of 7973 Carr Lane, Holland Station, died Thursday morning in his home. A native of Isle of Wight County, he was the husband of Mrs. Daisy Holland Carr. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church and a retired farmer. Besides his widow, survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy C. Holland of Norfolk, Mrs. Thelma C. Stephens, Mrs. Barbara C. Cutchins, and Mrs. Carolyn Almond of Franklin; and four sons, J.J. Carr, Marvin Carr, Lewis Carr, and Cecil Carr of Suffolk; two sisters; Mrs. Dana Carr of Walters, Mrs. Viola Hall, Carrsville, three brothers; Willie Carr of Walters, Fenton B. Carr of Zuni, Bradford Carr, of Isle of Wight, 19 grandchildren and one great- grandchild. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Mt. Carmel Christian Church by the Rev. E.M. Allcox and the Rev. Jerry Stanley. Burial will be in Southampton Memorial Park. W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, has charge.
