Blythe, Sunday, October 9, 1932. She was 79 years of age and the wife of the late Miles L. Carr. She was one of the best known women of Black Creek community and was a consistent member of Black Creek Baptist Church. She leaves to mourn their loss two children, Mrs. T.J. Blythe and Arthur Carr of this community, one step-daughter, Mrs. J.T. Nelms of Norfolk, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, besides a host of relatives and friends. Due to the illness of her Pastor, Rev. R.E. Vellines, her funeral was conducted by Rev. W.H. Corbitt, assisted by Rev. W.B. Denson and Rev. Rufus Corbitt. The active pallbearers were: R.H. Carr, W.G. Moffatt, J.J. Bradshaw, E.A. Drewry, Linwood Thorn and Irvin Ferguson. Elizabeth (JOYNER; Mrs. Miles L.)
