A native of Isle of Wight County he was a son of Charles M. and Mrs. Shirley Wilmot Carr and the husband of Mrs. Ada Dare Bryant Carr. He was a member of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Bryant R. Carr of Zuni; a brother, J. Wilmot Carr of Norfolk. A funeral service was conducted Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Home in Wakefield by the Rev. J.W. Horne of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church and the Rev. Gerald Voye of Bethany Presbyterian Church. Burial was in Tucker Swamp Church cemetery. Pallbearers were T.M. Carr, Jr., Herman Bowden, R.C. Cobb, J.P. Twyford, Emmett Barrett, Russell Hedgepeth, F.N. Carr and C.H.
