EDNA IRENE CARR CARR 

   WALTERS - A funeral service for Mrs. Irene C. Carr was conducted at 1 
p.m. Wednesday in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Chapel, Franklin, by the 
Rev. Raymond T. Grissom and the Rev. R.E. Brittle.  Burial was in Holly 
Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk.

   Pallbearers were Joseph L. Griggs, L.L. Carr, W.L. Vick, Russell Carr, 
J.W. Stephens, and Fenton Beale.

   Mrs. Carr, 60, died Monday morning in Southampton Memorial Hospital, 
Franklin.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she worked for Russell & Holmes Shoe 
Store, Franklin, 19 years.

   She was the wife of Lonnie Lee Carr and daughter of Livy and Mrs. Martha 
Stephenson Carr.

   She was a member of the Woman’s Bible Class and Woman’s Auxiliary of Mt. 
Carmel Christian Church.

   Besides her husband, surviving are a son, Lonnie Lee Carr, Jr. of Windsor; 
two sisters, Mrs. Jasper Carr and Mrs. John I. Duck Sr. of Walters; and a 
grandson.
