JO ANN CARR 

   IVOR - A funeral service for Miss Jo Ann Carr, was conducted at 3 p.m. 
Tuesday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, by the Rev. Brian L. Tiffany. 
Burial was in Ivor Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Tommy Joyner, Larry Joyner, Keith Harver, Johnnie Owney, 
Gary Garner, Donnie Raiford, G.K. Nelms and Leslie Cutright.

   Miss Carr, 15, died instantly Sunday night from results of an automobile 
accident.

   A native of Southampton County, Miss Carr was in the ninth grade at 
Southampton Junior High School.

   Besides her parents, Willie J. and Mrs. Dorothy Stover Carr, surviving are 
three brothers, Willie J. Carr Jr., Robert E. Carr and James Earl Carr; 
paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lizzie C. Carr, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and 
Mrs. Willie L. Pittman, all of Ivor.
