She was a native of Southampton County and had lived on the Peninsula for the last 15 years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George E. Gardner of Hampton, Mrs. Cecil Blythe of Franklin and Mrs. J.T. Foister of Washington, D.C.; two sons, William Johnson and J.T. Johnson, both of Portsmouth; 35 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service was conducted at Orcutt Avenue Baptist Church, Newport News, Friday at 10 a.m. The body was taken to Rosemont Cemetery in Sedley for a graveside service at noon Friday.
