Carr, of Franklin, Va., who was brought to the C. & O. Hospital two weeks ago, died last night about half past 11 o’clock. Before marriage she was Miss Ruth Estelle Brockwell. In 1913 she was married to C.E. Carr and since that time had made her home in Franklin. Several days ago it was realized that her condition was critical and her husband arrived here Saturday night. The deceased was 38* years old and is survived by her husband, two children, Louise and Charles Edward, Jr., her parents Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Brockwell, two sisters, Mrs. E. Simpson, Jr., of Suffolk, and Miss Elizabeth, of this city, and by one brother, C.A. Brockwell, Jr. A short funeral service was held this afternoon from the funeral parlors of Vernilya and Linkinhoker, which were conducted by Rev. F.W. Long. The funeral will be held Thursday at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, of which the deceased had been a faithful member. The family have the deep sympathy of their many friends. ****************************************************************************** RUTH ESTELLE BROCKWELL CARR Mrs. Ruth Estelle Carr, wife of C.E. Carr of the Franklin community died at a hospital in Clifton Forge, Va., Monday, May 6. Funeral services were held at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock conducted by Rev. W.D. Harward, assisted by Rev. J. Sydney Cobb and interment was made in the church cemetery. Mrs. Carr is survived by her husband, two children, Louise and Charles Edwards Jr. and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Brockwell of Clifton Forge, two sisters, Mrs. Edward Simpson of Suffolk, and Miss Elizabeth Brockwell of Clifton Forge, one brother, C.A. Brockwell, Jr. of Clifton Forge.
