VERA MAE CARR

   WALTERS - Funeral services for Vera Mae Carr, 73, were held Friday in Mt. 
Carmel Christian Church by the Revs. Donald Trump and M. Sollinger.  Burial 
was in Southampton Memorial Park with Wright Funeral Home in charge.

   Pallbearers were: Loftin Rhodes, Leonard Rose, Jimmy Joyner, Denny 
Gwaltney, A.L. Duck, Lloyd Britt, L.J. Carr and John Duck.

   Carr died Tuesday night in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   She was a native of Isle of Wight County and the wife of Jasper Carr Sr. 
She was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church and its ladies Bible class, 
golden age club, the N.A.B.A. and home demonstration club.

   Other survivors include a son, Jasper Carr Jr. of Walters; a sister, 
Eunice C. Duck of Walters and one granddaughter, Dabny Carr.
