WILLIE JAMES CARR SR.

   IVOR - Willie James Carr Sr., 63, of Route 2, a retired truck driver, 
died Aug. 17, in a Portsmouth hospital.

   Mr. Carr was a native of Zuni.  He was an Army veteran of World War II 
and was a member of Ivor Baptist Church.

   Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Elizabeth Stover Carr; three sons, 
Willie J. Carr Jr., Robert Earl Carr and James Earl Carr, all of Ivor; a 
sister,  Martha C. Atkinson of Ivor; and seven grandchildren.

   The funeral was conducted Wednesday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, 
by the Rev. Irvin Acree.  Burial, with military honors, was in Ivor cemetery.

   Memorial donations may be made to the Ivor Rescue Squad, Ivor, 23866.
