HARVEY CROSS

   Franklin - Harvey Cross, 83, of Route 1 died Thursday in a hospital.

   He was a lifelong resident of Southampton County and was a retired logger. 
He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

   Survivors include his wife, Akra Channing Cross; four daughters, Peggy C. 
Mulder, Wendy C. McCourry and Marilyn C. Ray, all of Franklin, and Linda C. 
Jenkins of Conway, N.C. ; four sons, Harvey Nash Cross, David Cross and Joseph 
Cross, all of Franklin, and Homer Cross of Portsmouth; a sister, Olee C. Davis 
of Winton, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.

   A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. 
David Adams. Burial will be in Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery.

   The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Harvey Cross, 83, was held Saturday at 
2 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. David Adams.  Burial was in Sycamore 
Baptist Church Cemetery.

   Cross died Thursday in a hospital.

   A lifelong resident of Southampton County he was a retired logger.  He was 
a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.

   Survivors include his wife, Akra Channing Cross; four daughters, Peggy C. 
Mulder, Wendy C. McCourry and Marilyn C. Ray, all of Franklin, and Linda C. 
Jenkins of Conway, N.C.; four sons, Harvey Nash Cross, David Cross and Joseph
