All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ LUCILLE GRAY CYRUS BOYKINS - Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Gray Cyrus, 55, who died Saturday at Southampton Memorial Hospital, were conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, with the Rev. Harry Bunch, pastor of the Newsoms United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in the Newsoms Cemetery. Mrs. Cyrus was a native of Southampton County and was a daughter of Richard Percy and Mrs. Mary Ferguson Gray. She was the wife of Earl Talmadge Cyrus. She was a member of the Newsoms Baptist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Richard Earl Cyrus of Seal Unit #2 U.S. Navy, Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Nellie Mack and Mrs. Evelyn Ferguson of Newsoms and Mrs. Edith Forrest of Franklin; four brothers, Edward Gray of Norfolk, Clyde Gray of Chuckatuck, Hubert Gray of Emporia, and Thomas Gray of Windsor; and one granddaughter. Pallbearers were Carl Thorpe, Morris Worrell, Larry Gray, Russell Ferguson, Ralph Ivey, Willie Ivey, Calvin Gray, and Ben DeLozier. Lucille (GRAY; Mrs. Earl T.)
