All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CHARLIE FARRAR CRUTE Mr. Charlie Farrar Crute, age 73, of Capron, Va., died Tuesday, August 9, 1977, at Greensville Memorial Hospital, Emporia. A native of Mecklenburg County, he was the husband of Mrs. Esther Skeeter Crute. He was a retired correctional guard at Southampton Correctional Farm. He was a member of the Capron United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, other survivors are, two sons, Charles Edwin Crute of Chester and Lambert Farrar Crute of Norfolk; one daughter, Miss Carol Larraine Crute of Richmond; one sister, Mrs. Mary Bell Park of Boydton; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 3 P.M. at the graveside in Capron (Va) Cemetery with the Rev. Van E. Cash officiating. Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Capron Rescue Squad or Capron United Church. McDowell Funeral Home, Boykins, in charge of funeral arrangements.
