A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Lorenza Crutchlow and a daughter of Hunter and Mrs. Sallie Davis Cobb. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Brown of Greenville, N.C., Mrs. Virginia Lassiter and Mrs. Vida Lee of Boykins, and Mrs. Sallie C. Hudson of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; three sons, Lenton Crutchlow of Emporia, Joel T. Crutchlow of Marion, and Elmo Crutchlow of South Hill; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Newsome of Emporia; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Echols Funeral Home. Burial will be in Capron Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Reves Williams, Tommy Newsome, Jr., Marian Lee, Hunter Ford, Herman Sadley and Perry Eason. Lucy Jane (COBB; Mrs. Lorenzo O.)
