Carter of Newsoms, died in Lakeview Hospital, Suffolk, March 10, after an illness of only a few weeks. She was the daughter of Mrs. Carrie Worrell Porter and of the late Bennie B. Porter of Newsoms, and was a consistent member of the Newsoms Baptist Church. Surviving her besides her husband are a brother, Ralph L. Porter, and a sister, Mrs. Nannie Porter Drake. Funeral services were held from the residence of her mother Sunday afternoon at 4 o’clock by the Rev. F.L. Baker of Oxford Methodist Church, Suffolk. The pallbearers were: Beale Carter, Julian and Clyde Carter, Howard Hancock, Linwood Worrell and Jack Bunn. Lois Ann (PORTER WORRELL; Mrs. Hugh B.)
