MRS. MINNIE B. CARTER 

  BOYKINS - Mrs. Minnie Banty Carter, 89, died Wednesday in a Petersburg 
hospital. 

  A native of Northampton County, N.C., she was a daughter of James Daniel 
and Mrs. Hattie Pruden Banty and the widow [sic*] of Cecil Carter. 

  She is survived by a brother, Maynard J. Banty of Boykins. 

  A funeral service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in Beechwood Cemetery by 
Dr. Richie Brittle.  McDowell Funeral Home has charge.

Birthdate &c. from D.Cert. 70-021528, which gives her mother as Mattie Prue, 
   and states Married - not Widowed. 

She m. Cecil CARTER, 7 Oct 1901, at Galatia Church, Northampton Co., NC. 

Cecil d. 27 May 1946 in Portsmouth, of nephritis. 

SSDI gives b. 2 Jun 1881; last res. Richmond.
