CARTER BOYKINS - Mrs. Minnie Banty Carter, 89, died Wednesday in a Petersburg hospital. A native of Northampton County, N.C., she was a daughter of James Daniel and Mrs. Hattie Pruden Banty and the widow [sic*] of Cecil Carter. She is survived by a brother, Maynard J. Banty of Boykins. A funeral service will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in Beechwood Cemetery by Dr. Richie Brittle. McDowell Funeral Home has charge. Minnie A.
