The funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. F. Paulette Sunday afternoon. The pallbearers were W. T. Smith, S. R. Simmons, M. E. Barrett, W. E. Myrick, J. G. Barnes, J. B. Everett, L. P. Simmons and C. R. Everett. She leaves to mourn their loss a daughter, Miss Sallie Caroon, and two sons, J. E. and G. T. Caroon, who had watched so patiently at her bedside until silent death entered the sick room and laid its hand upon the breathing form and the spirit took its flight over the river to the other shore where sorrow and pain are no more, where eternal ife is the reward for God’s own, as they await their loved ones. May the Heavenly Father sustain the beloved ones in this time of sorrow, feeling that the parting may be an inspiration to work closer with Him, "who doeth all things well", and that our deeds may not be measured by earthly remembrances, but, by the life of eternity in Heaven where our beloved one remains in the midst of heavenly bliss with angels at her side and with peace and joy the soul’s only thought.
