CAROON Mrs. Virgie Caroon, the beloved wife of T.M. Caroon, died at her home in Courtland on Thursday afternoon, July 14, in her 38 years, after a brief illness. She was born in this county and was the daughter of the late Virginius Hunter Cobb and Sallie Amanda Cobb. She joined Trinity M.E. Church when quite young, but at the time of her death was a member of the Courtland M.E. Church and was always loyal and faithful to its every obligation. One of the pleasures of her life was to attend her Sunday School, the meetings of the Ladies Aid Society, the Rosebud Missionary Society and the W.C.T.U. She was always bright and cheerful, having a sunny smile for everyone with whom she came in contact. She is greatly missed by her devoted family and friends, but we can not understand the work of the Lord, we can only bow our heads in submission to His will. The funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon from the residence by her pastor, Rev. J.E. Brooks, and interment followed in the family plot in Riverside cemetery. By special request of the husband "Does Jesus Care" was sung by Mrs. Bessie M. Wills and the M.E. Church choir sang "In the Sweet Bye and Bye". Many beautiful floral designs were placed upon her grave by loved ones and friends who had assembled to pay their last tribute of respect. She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband, four sons, Roy, Herman, Williams and Norman Caroon; one little daughter, Kathleen Caroon; one brother, Mr. A.B. Cobb, all of this place; two sisters, Miss Lizzie Cobb of this place and Mrs. L.O. Crutchlow of Capron. The following were pallbearers: active, W.J. Sebrell, Dr. E.F. Reese, E.P. Westbrook, H.B.
