Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. John Williams and the Rev. Harry Bunch. Burial was in Sycamore Baptist Church Cemetery near Franklin. Pallbearers were Jack Farmer, Jack Story Sr., John Moody, Karl Scott, Cecil Porter and William Britt. Mrs. Crumpler, 80, died Wednesday at 5 a.m. in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin, after a long illness. A native of Florence, S.C., she lived here 54 years. She was the widow of Peter Daniel Crumpler and a daughter of Robert and Mrs. Rowena Turner McLaughlin. She was a member of Sunbeam Baptist Church and its Women’s Missionary Society. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Edna C. Porter and a son, P.D. Crumpler Jr., both of Handsom; a sister, Mrs. Pauline Langston of Timmonsville, S.C.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
