EVA B. MORRIS CORNWELL

MRS. EVA M. CORNWELL

   Mrs. Eva Morris Cornwell, 77, died at her home in Southampton County, near 
Wakefield, on Monday morning, February 7, after a long illness. 
 
   Mrs. Cornwell was the widow of Emmett Cornwell, who died in May, 1928, and 
was a member of the Wakefield Christian Church. 

   Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Lina Hargrave of Hopewell, and Mrs. Bessie 
Pond and Mrs. Addie Raiford, both of Sedley RFD 1. 

   Funeral services were conducted at the grave in the homeplace cemetery on 
Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. J.E. McCawley, pastor of the Wakefield 
Christian Church.  The choir sang "Nearer My God to Thee." 

   Pallbearers were Bernard Barrett, Hartwell Barrett, Charlie Drewry, R.C. 
Drewry, Charlie Kitchen and John R. Simms, Jr.
