A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Franklin Leonidas Davis, Jr. and daughter of the late Lina Barkley Duke and Obed Hudson Barkley. She was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church. She was employed as Chief Deputy Commissioner of Revenue of Southampton County. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Veronica D. Claud of Chesapeake; one son, F. Lon Davis III of Courtland and four grandchildren. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:30 P.M. in Riverside Cemetery by Rev. C.B. King.
