Davis COURTLAND - Mrs. Eliza Bryant Davis, 80, died Tuesday night in a Williamsburg hospital. She was a native of Southampton county, where she had lived all her life. She was a member of Vincent Grove Methodist Church. She was the wife of Paul A. Davis, and the daughter of Bailey and Mrs. Mary Jane Whitehead Davis. Surviving, besides her husband, are one son, William R. Davis, and three grandchildren, all of Courtland; and one brother, Fenton Bryant of Franklin. Funeral services were conducted at the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home today at 2 p.m. by the Rev. J.S. Peebles, pastor of the Capron Methodist Church. Burial was in the family cemetery near Courtland. Pallbearers were Leslie V. Whitehead, Leslie D. Whitehead, Robert Barnes, E.R. Vaughan, Allen Ray Worrell and H.D.
