He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Pearl Dawson Davis; one son, William Dawson Davis, Courtland, Va.; five sisters, Mrs. Mary D. Gilbert and Mrs. Virginia D. Watkinson and Mrs. Betty D. Joyner of Courtland, Mrs. Jane D. Colglazier and Mrs. Anna D. Thweatt of Richmond; two brothers, Garland H. Davis of Courtland and L. Gillette Davis of Portsmouth, Va. He was a member of Methodist Church, Courtland, the Davis- Ridley Hunt Club, a retired Chief Warrant Officer of the Navy having retired in 1953 and pharmacy manager of Southampton Correctional Center. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, Va., by the Rev. H.L. Kidd. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin has charge.
