She was the widow of Paul B. Davis and a life-long resident of Southampton County. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Courtland. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Barrett of Wakefield, Mrs. Gladys Williams of Sebrell and Mrs. Marjorie Whitehead of Franklin; one son, Paul B. Davis of Courtland; two sisters, Mrs. Annie H. Vaughan of Franklin and Mrs. Louise H. Knight of Wakefield; a brother, C.C. Howell of Smithfield; twelve grandchildren; twelve great- grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Monday, 11 a.m. in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Courtland Rescue Squad or St. Luke's Church Building Fund. Sarah Gladys (HOWELL; Mrs. Paul B.)
