Robert E. Davis of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were William H. Whitley, George H. Parker Jr., R.J. Hotchkiss, Dr. Henry L. Gardner Jr., Robert A. Vaughan, Felton Johnson, George Conwell and Thomas P. Turner. Davis, 59, died Saturday night in Cypress Cove County Club after a heart attack. A native of Jackson, Miss., he lived here 19 years. He was the husband of Mrs. Virginia Bristow Davis and a son of late Edward and Mrs. Margaret Pickerell Davis. He was engineer-draftsman for the Virginia State Highway Department. He was a graduate of Syracuse University. Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edward Hotchkiss and Miss Margaret P. Davis of Franklin; a brother, Edgar Davis of Jackson; and a grandchild.
