All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ RAYNOR* ELIZABETH STEPHENSON DAVIS Mrs. Raynor Elizabeth Davis, 86, a lifelong resident of the Berlin community, died at her home near Berlin on Friday, August 29, after an illness of several months. She was the widow of Clinton Lewis Davis, and the daughter of the late Richard Murrell and Martha Vick Stephenson of this county. She was one of the oldest members of the Millfield Baptist Church, in which she served for many years. Surviving are a son, Garland Davis of Ivor; a brother, Edgar V. Stephenson, Sr., of Ivor; and two sisters, Mrs. Charles B. Kello of Norfolk and Mrs. F.H. Stephenson of Ivor. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis were held on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the graveside at the old home place near Berlin, with Rev. [...; illegible] Orrell, pastor of Millfield Baptist Church officiating [...; illegible] Lennon of Clover, Halifax County. The pallbearers were J. Woodard Jones, Charles B. Kello, Jr., Samuel B. Kello, Clarence M. Stephenson, Edgar V. Stephenson, Jr., and H.W. Stephenson. Honorary pallbearers were L.H. Babb, B.F. Boothe, L.H. Boothe, W.C. Bryant, A.R. Gardner, T.M. Pulley, W.C.
