DEATH OF A CHILD

  The death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ezra W. Davis Friday, June 
9, and took their youngest child, Sydney Leonidas, age 1 year, and 10 months. 
All was done that could be done by loving hands and the faithful physician to 
stay the hand of death, but God knew best and claimed the little one for His 
own. 

A dear little lamb from our fold has gone, 
God has seen fit to call him home. 
But Oh, how hard from him to part, 
The dear little treasure of our heart. 


But you are not alone, Dear Sydney, 
For other loved ones have gone before, 
And with outstretched arms they greet you, 
And welcome you at Heaven's door. 


But it is so sad, dear loved one, 
Your little face no more to see, 
For how much we loved you, Darling Sydney, 
God in heaven only knew. 


But sleep on darling baby 
In your home not made with hands, 
And by God's will and power 
We'll meet you in that promised land. 

ONE WHO LOVED HIM WELL
