All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ NORA ELLA AUSTIN DAVIDSON Mrs. Nora Austin Davidson, 93, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe Lloyd of 405 Bogart St., Sunday morning. She was the widow of John A. Davidson of Nansemond County and a daughter of Jacob and Mrs. Emaline Austin. She was the oldest member of South Quay Baptist Church. Besides Mrs. Lloyd, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Lavina Jones of New Bern, N.C., and Mrs. Mary Councill of Franklin; five sons, Claude A. Davidson and Harry W. Davidson of Holland, John A. Davidson Jr. of Plainfield, Conn., Smith Taylor Davidson of Chesapeake and Wilford I. Davidson of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Duke of Chesapeake; 27 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; and three great, great-grandchildren. The body was taken to W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home and will be taken to Poplar Spring Cemetery for a graveside service at 2 p.m. today by the Rev. Robert D. Fridley of High Street Methodist Church. Active pallbearers were sons of the deceased, Claude A. Davidson, Harry W. Davidson, John A. Davidson, Jr., Smith Taylor Davidson, Williford Davidson, and Joe Lloyd. Nora Ella (AUSTIN; Mrs. John A.)
