Duke SUFFOLK - Mrs. Martha Debrah Duke, widow of James Phillip Duke, died Friday at 7:45 p.m. at her home in North Gate after an illness of several months. She was a daughter of R.B. and Mrs. Virginia Bradshaw Howell of Southampton County. She was a member of Liberty Spring Christian Church. ****************************************************************************** Mrs. Martha D. Duke SUFFOLK - Funeral services will be conducted at Liberty Spring Christian Church today at 4 p. m. today for Mrs. Martha Debrah Duke, widow of James Phillip Duke, who died Friday night at her home at her home after an illness of several months. The funeral procession will leave the I.O. Hill Funeral Home here at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. ****************************************************************************** Rites Today For Mrs. Martha Duke Funeral serives for Mrs. Martha Deborah Duke will be conducted today at 4 p.m. at Liberty Spring Christian Church by the Rev. Raymond H. Phelts, pastor, and Dr. Jesse H. Dollar, former pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The funeral procession will leave the Hill Funeral Home for the church at 3:30 p.m. Mrs. Duke, widow of James Phillip [sic; Philip] Duke, died Friday at 7:45 p.m. at her home in Northgate, after an illness of several months. She was a daughter of R.B. and Mrs. Virginia Bradshaw Howell of Southampton County. She was a member of Liberty spring Christian Church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. R.E. Parker of the North Carolina Highway; Mrs. Nellie Horton and Miss Helen B. Duke, both of Northgate; Mrs. Willie R. Rountree and Mrs. Graxton A. Pearce, both of Whaleyville; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Nelms and Mrs. W.C. Aumann, both of Norfolk; one brother, Joel C. Howell of Washington; seven grandchildren, four great-great- grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
