He was the husband of Mrs. Minnie Johnson Duke and a son of Joseph Lee and the late Mrs. Bedie Carr Duke of Carrsville. Mr. Duke a lifelong resident of the community and was employed as a salesman for the Home Beneficial Insurance Co. He was a member of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church. In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by two sons, Roy Carr Duke, Jr., and Raye Johnson Duke, of Franklin; two brothers, Roger L. Duke of Holland and Joseph Matthew Duke of Franklin, and two sisters, Mrs. James Cones of Holland and Mrs. Henry M. Johnson of Franklin. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by Rev. Raymond Grissom, pastor of Holy Neck Christian Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
