ELIZABETH B. DAUGHTREY

   Mrs. Elizabeth B. Daughtrey, 64, wife of William Thomas Daughtrey of 
Franklin, died Thursday night, April 4, in Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk, 
after a long illness.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the daughter of the late John M. 
and Mrs. Anna Hall Ballard.

   In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, W.T. Daughtrey, Jr., 
of Carrsville and C.C. Daughtrey of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Lily B. Clements 
of Greensboro, N.C., and Mrs. Annie B. Rose of Franklin; two brothers, A.W. 
Ballard, Sr., of Suffolk and John M. Ballard of Walters; seven grandchildren and 
several nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Beaver Dam Baptist 
Church by Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor. Burial was in the church cemetery.

   Active pallbearers were J.L. Rose, W.B. Hastings, R.H. Rawles, Jr., Jesse 
Harcum, Aubrey Gale, John Ballard, Jr., Robert H. Ballard and William Ballard.
