He was the husband of the late Mrs. Dora Gardner Daughtrey and a son of William and Mrs. Belvia Ann Cotton Daughtrey of Southampton County. He was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Fenton Cobb, Mrs. Linwood Kirkland and Mrs. James Daughtrey of Franklin; a son, Julian G. Harcum of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Tessie Lassiter of Franklin; four grandchildren and two great- grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted in Holland Funeral Chapel Sunday at 4 p.m. by the Rev. Thomas Downing, pastor of Sycamore Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
