The deceased was born in the Maynard neighborhood, Isle of Wight County, August 3, 1839*. On March 29, 1865*, she was married to the late William Daughtrey, who preceded her to the grave several years ago. Early in life she acknowledged Christ as her Savior and united with the army of His followers, being a faithful member of the Franklin Christian Church. Ill health in recent years had prevented her from participating actively in the work of the church, but her cheerfulness and fortitude inspired those about her to renewed labors in the Master’s cause. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Minnie Coggsdale; one daughter, Mrs. Virgie Cooper; and five grandchildren, all of Franklin.
