Virginius Kemper Daughtrey, Jr., 70, of 325 Robin Hood Rd., Franklin died Friday, September 7, 1979, in a local hospital. Mr. Daughtery was a retired Vice President and manager of the Franklin Branch of Virginia National Bank. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and the Bruner Bible Class, Army veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific Theatre. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Banie Walden Daughtrey; a sister, Ms. Mary Virginia Daughtrey both of Franklin; brother, William H. Daughtrey of Blacksburg, Va.; a niece, Mrs. A.L. Land, Jr. of Maitland, Fla. and a nephew, William H. Daughtrey, Jr. of Richmond. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Reverend Ira D. Hudgins. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Wright Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
